James Andrews is a freelance filmmaker based in Seattle, Washington. “The Journal” is his first narrative short film.

James primarily produces films and videos for commercial, nonprofit, and government organizations. He produced and directed the documentaries “Polar Guardians” for the U.S. Coast Guard and “Feathers and Frontiers” for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, as well as numerous short videos for the National Park Service.

In 2023, his documentary short film “Moon Landing Memories” was selected as one of the 10 finalists in NASA’s CineSpace short film competition.
