An apartment building manager is disturbed by the “smell” that he believes is coming from the new tenants living in the basement apartment, and he begins to collect signatures from the apartment buildings to evict them. But good neighborly relations force him to reconsider his prejudices.

Eksi bir won the best short film award at the 43rd Istambul Film Festival and was one of 64 films selected from 9,500 nominated films at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
